An anglo-nubian sire of an outstanding breed line was brought to the farm 20 years ago from the celebrated Camp May Farm, Virginia, and together with Cyprus she goats of Syrian origin created the first generation of the herd. later on the herd would be developed further with a damasco sire from Cyprus.
the result of this breeding process is a wonderful goat, highly adapted to the local habitat with premium quality milk ,rich in fat and dry matter- the foundation needed to create artisnal cheese
